3 July - 3 August, 10 - 5.30 every day, free of charge, at Salthouse Church on the North Norfolk Coast. (On A149, Coasthopper bus runs hourly). The North Norfolk Exhibition Project’s annual exhibition of Norfolk contemporary art is regarded as North Norfolk’s premier art event and one of the best in the whole country. This year, curated by Ian Collins, it will celebrate his 30 years as EDP arts’ reviewer. Visitors will find a magnificent, vibrant mix of 2 and 3-D work. Also showing 12 of Norfolk’s John Craske’s stunning embroideries.

New this year - and to be developed over the next two - a Sculpture Trail, starting at Salthouse Church. A ten-mile circle, visitors can explore in sections on foot, by cycle, by car, or by Poppy Line train. A Trail le Caflet and map will be available at the exhibition.

As well as the exhibition, there is a programme of workshops for adults and families.

EVENING EVENTS

The ever popular evening events, in support of the exhibition, are held in the Church at 7.30 pm, tickets £8, from Holt and Wells Tourist Information Centres, at the door on the night, and by e-mail: salthouse08@googlemail.com

6 JULY SEA FEVER. Poetry , prose, song and piano - an evening of fun and delight (and a little bit serious) with Norfolk’s TV and radio actor Patience Tomlinson with David and Jonathan. A happy start to the Salthouse evening season of events.

10 JULY LOUIS DE BERNIERES with llone Antonius Jones (clarinet). A new programme, especially for Salthouse, is to be taken to the Edinburgh Festival, of music (Cyes, Louis will be playing mandolins) and Louis' poetry. His new book is just out, he will be pleased to sign copies of any of his books and chat to the audience.

13 JULY TRISHA GODDARD, daytime TV’s queen agony aunt and EDP columnist in a This Is your Life with TV’s EDDIE ANDERSON of Byegones fame. Use the opportunity to take part.

18 JULY TIMBA FERRERA/GUATEQUE, Norfolk’s own Cuban band. Last year the whole audience conga-ed in the aisles, went out with a spring in the step and a song in the heart. Come and enjoy.

1 AUGUST ROGER ENO, wonderful music, extraordinary musician. Roger has written for films and advertisements. This year, he has been concentrating on writing music to accompany Salthouse 08 and to play at this concert. If you love your music sweet and mellow or jazzy, you will have a magical evening.
